About
BIB103: Biblical Church Membership is designed to ground believers in a biblical understanding of the local church and their personal responsibility within it. This course challenges the consumer mindset of modern Christianity and replaces it with a Scripture-based, covenantal view of church membership. Students will examine what it means to belong to a local church, to serve faithfully, to submit biblically, and to protect the unity and testimony of Christ’s body. Using I Am a Church Member as a practical guide and Scripture as the final authority, this course calls believers to move from attendance to commitment and from spectatorship to service. By the end of this course, students will be able to: - Explain the biblical purpose of the local church - Distinguish between church attendance and biblical membership - Identify personal responsibilities of church members - Develop a servant-hearted mindset toward the local church - Understand biblical authority, submission, and accountability - Commit to unity, faithfulness, and spiritual maturity within the church
