About
This self-paced program is designed to equip trustees of the local New Testament church with the biblical foundation, practical skills, and spiritual maturity needed to serve faithfully. Using 'Trusted With the Task: A Biblical Guide for Church Trustees' by Pastor Steven Pratt, Jr. as the primary resource, participants will explore scriptural principles, stewardship responsibilities, and the servant-hearted role of a trustee. The course covers personal character, faithfulness, unity with pastoral leadership, and the trustee’s role in protecting the mission, resources, and testimony of the church. Through reading assignments, reflection questions, and practical applications, students will learn to steward church resources and property with integrity and transparency, work in unity with church leadership, and manage the legal, financial, and logistical needs of the church. Assignments include lesson worksheets, essays, and a final exam, with feedback provided to encourage growth in clarity, discernment, and gospel effectiveness. The program is structured to allow students to progress at their own pace, with support available via email or in person during church services.
